Calc v1.1 Description

Calc v1.1 is regarded as a helpful and convenient to use JavaScript library that does the math so you don't have to.

Major Features:
  1. Small & lightweight – only 6.7kb
  2. No dependencies on other libraries
  3. Packed with over 50 functions
  4. Easy to learn and extend
  • Changes:
    • Capitalized all math constants included with Calc (PI, E, etc.) to respect JavaScript naming conventions.
      • Calc.pi is now Calc.PI
      • Calc.e is now Calc.E
      • Calc.phi is now Calc.PHI
    • Removed the .places() method in favor of the updated .round() method.
    • Removed the .factorPairs() method (which already can be created using the .factors() method).
    • Removed the .pythag() method for its inconsistent syntax.
    • The .radical() method now represents decimal numbers as fractions
  • Fixes:
    • Rewrote a few methods to improve their performance, such as .fib() and .lcm().
    • The .frac() method now handles binary rounding error automatically.
  • New Features:
    • Added a new version property to the Calc object.
    • Added the standard .atan2() method.
    • Added a new property, Calc.G, to represent the gravitational constant.
    • Added a new Base module, with methods for converting to and from different bases (such as .bin(), .hex(), and .oct()).
    • Added a new Random module, with methods such as .choices(), .choice(), and the existing .random().
    • Added a new .correct() method which corrects binary rounding error (while maintaining full precision).
    • Added a new .thru() method for generating a list of numbers through a certain range.
